Sally Kaack (b. 1995, UK)

Sally Kaack is an emerging Melbourne based artist born in Surrey, United Kingdom. Much of her works are photographic and written responses examining women throughout the decades, both within Australia and Internationally. Sally uses political and sociological events to reflect upon her own experiences visually, as she wanders within the scope of her own neighbourhood. Her works often take on performative and experimental aspects, such as her most recent work The night is still the same, which examines the modern flâneuse as well as the treatment of women both historically and recently.

Sally completed her studies at Photography Studies College (Melbourne) in 2018, where she received her Bachelor of Photography (Fine Art). Her work has been featured and exhibited around the college as well as various Gallery spaces such as; The Queen Victoria Women’s Centre, Hillvale Gallery, and Centre for Contemporary Photography. 

In 2014, Sally graduated from the prestigious Australian Ballet School and was contracted with the Australian Ballet.
